Life is a funny journey...

hmm been quite long since I updated my blog. Am I busy? nah... just that life is so monotone I have nothing interesting or excited to talk about. Sounds kinda depressing life I have right?
haha

This morning it strike me that life is actually a funny joke on you. The things that you wan or searching for you can never find it.. however things that you think you don't want will come to you. Isn't that ironic? Do we humans actually know what we want? Or we are merely puppets pulls by "higher power"? Whenever something really important that we wish for never come true, we try to console ourselves that God knows what is best for us.... and at the correct time the thing shall come. So do we merely wait for God to grant us something that He thinks we need?

Have you ever found something real good but however the circumstances is all wrong? That is exactly how I feel now. That I have found a perfect car but I don't have the driving license to drive it. In the other hand, I have the license to drive a car that I don't really like... life is just a funny joke on you.

I have been waiting for something most of my life.. waiting and hoping..the wait is long, the hope has become a moldy cheese...

City Wedding Vs Kampung Wedding

Love is in the air.... =) lately there is so many weddings going on. I myself atttended TWO wedding dinners last weekend...one after another..
One was my school mate at the nice city restaurant. Another was my colleage at a Kampung area call Jeram (about 15 minutes before Kampar if you are coming from Ipoh).

Well.....the kampung dinner was really an experience for me HAHA! An eye opener...I dont think I have attended any wedding dinner before in a kampung area. I couldnt help laughing all throughout dinner..haha the ppl at my table must think I was a bit nuts =D
Dont get me wrong..I am not looking down at kampung places...it was just different and funny..too bad I didnt have a video camera to record it down=p

hmm shall we compare the differences?
1) Kampung dinner is usually held at the Dewan Rakyat..so there was NO aircon...it was soo hot everybody was sweating ...my boss even had to leave the table a few times to get some fresh air outside. He at last took a fan (the chinese one) from his car and was fanning himself throught the dinner. Good thing I wore thin clothings...I wasn't feeling that bad =p
How can the guest still drink beer in this condition? @.@
2) Kampung dinner start ON TIME. The wedding card said 7:00pm and indeed the bride and bridegroom arrive at 7:00 sharp and 5 minutes soon after the food start arriving. The other wedding dinner I attended said 7:30pm in the card...but the food only start coming at 8:45pm =.=
3) hmm there was a stage at the Dewan Rakyat...so a mike and lightings was set up... a mini disco =) uncles and uncles was invited to sing..a home karaoke session...the songs..all old old chinese songs that I have never heard of..it was soo loud...and some singers..was...er...shall we say the voice not so pleasant to the ears =D I have to endure that for 2hrs...later uncles aunties was invited up to the stage to dance cha cha...I counldnt stop laughing haha they look so funny on stage cha cha ing..
4) Also the dress code was different...most of the ppl in the kampung wedding just wore simple t -shirt and jean...I think our table (boss, other colleages and me) was the most well dress. I was feeling quite awkward when I 1st walk into the dewan..seems like everybody was looking at us... >.<
One really funny thing was...I notice ppl seated at the tables was according to genders..all male or female one table..so weird?? Is this a kampung tradition? or isn't just this village only?

hmmm there are still other small small difference..like the food, flies flying ard (good thing I didn't get stomach ache)..the waitress that doesn't serve you. They just put bottles of soft drinks at the table and you pour it out yourself. The dishes like shark fin all also self service..not like in restaurants where the waitress serve it in bowls.
But I guess it is all expected in kampungs area =p

Lost....

As I glance back my journey of life I found that along the way I have lost part of myself. Or is it I have change? Did I loose it or have I turn into someone else? If indeed I have change then did I become somebody better or worst?
I really would like to find that things I have lost....where do I start?

A Joke a day keeps the Doctor away =)

A pastor entered his donkey in a race and it won. The pastor was so pleased with the donkey that he entered it in the race again, and it won again. The local paper read: "PASTOR'S ASS OUT FRONT".
The Bishop was so upset with this kind of publicity that he ordered thepastor not to enter the donkey in another race. The next day, the local paper headline read: "BISHOP SCRATCHES PASTOR'S ASS".

This was too much for the bishop, so he ordered the pastor to get rid ofthe donkey. The pastor decided to give it to a nun in a nearby convent. The local paper, hearing of the news, posted the following headline the next day: "NUN HAS BEST ASS IN TOWN".The bishop fainted. He informed the nun that she would have to get rid of the donkey, so she sold it to a farmer for $10.The next day the paper read: "NUN SELLS ASS FOR $10".This was too much for the bishop, so he ordered the nun to buy back thedonkey and lead it to the plains where it could run wild. The next day the headlines read: "NUN ANNOUNCES HER ASS IS WILD AND FREE".The bishop was buried the next day.
The moral of the story is...Being concerned about public opinion can bringy ou much grief and misery... and even shorten your life. So be yourself and enjoy life...
Stop worrying about everyone else's ass and you'll be a lot happier and live longer!

Saman

hmm how many saman will a person get in a lifetime?
Ipoh City now uses a coupon system to pay for parking. I feel that it is a nuisance system. You have to buy one booklet, then korek the year, date, time ...sometimes u korek salah then the coupon is void...
Yesterday I just kena saman for not putting the parking coupon...and I was just 2 minutes late to get my car =.=

A little bit of Fugu anyone?

Fugu is a Japanese dish prepared from the meat of pufferfish. Fugu is refered to as blow/globe/puffer fish since it blows its body up. Fugu contains deadly poison (tetrodotoxin) in the organs. Despite the risk, fugu dishes remain as special feasts in Japan and is considered as a great delicacy. Fugu's poison can lead to instantaneous deaths of diners
It's said that the most poisonous fugu, "Tora-fugu," is the most delicious.
Tetrodotoxin is a very potent neurotoxin and shuts down electrical signaling in nerves by binding to the pores of sodium channel proteins in nerve cell membranes. The tetrodotoxin is very stable and not affected by the heat of cooking. It does not cross the blood-brain barrier, leaving the victim fully conscious while paralyzing the remainder of the body. There is no known antidote, and treatment consists of emptying the stomach, feeding the victim activeted charcoal to bind the toxin and taking standard life-support measures to keep the victim alive until the effect of the poison has worn off.
Only specially licensed chefs are allowed to prepare and sell fugu to the public, and the consumption of the liver and ovaries is forbidden. But because small amounts of the poison give a special desired sensation on the tongue, these parts are considered the most delicious by some gourmets. Every year, a number of people die because they underestimate the amount of poison in the consumed fish parts.

Friendship....

Last night on bed I was running through the names in my phone...searching for someone to call...someone who can chase away blues.

Funny thing is the older we get the less friends we can turn to. As days go by more and more friendship drift apart. Everyone will be busy with their life...time to start a new family, work etc etc. As I go through the names it occurred to me there is nobody to call. Without realising it, I have drifted very much away from all my friends. No doubt we still do have some yum cha session once a while but to talk matters of heart? Who can I turn too?

I really miss school days..life is much simpler.....
